At the time The Sea Ranch was developed, many of the original architects and their colleagues took the opportunity to build second homes there. For example, Donlyn Lyndon (1936- ), one of the original partners of MLTW (who designed the Condominiums at the Sea Ranch), also designed homes for himself and his brother.
Dmitri Vedensky (1930-1997) and Charles Moore (1925-1993) designed the Shinefield house at The Sea Ranch. Vedensky then developed his own house at The Sea Ranch.
Jack Hermann (1917-1989) and Henry Hill (1913-1985)were part of the group of talented mid-century architects who practiced in the Bay Area.
