Luthy/Johnson Residences

Robert Luthy, a former neighbor of Don Olsen’s asked Olsen to design twin homes for himself and his close friend Robert Johnsen. The clients asked Olsen to design both their homes on one lot in the Orinda hills in order to keep the budget low. Olsen designed the two homes to act as mirrors of each other (see plot plan below on plinth).
