Achva Stein worked for Royston shortly after receiving her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree at UC Berkeley in 1969. Stein worked on many of the BART station landscapes that Royston’s firm designed. She went on to receive her Master of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Achva Stein’s father in-law is Joseph Stein.
