Center for Advanced Study in the Behavior Sciences

In 1954 Wurster and Church collaborated on the design for the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavior Sciences adjacent to the Stanford campus. The design and construction timeframe was extremely brief, spanning less than seven months. Like other Church projects, the buildings were positioned around existing live oaks and also situated so that outdoor spaces were defined for “solitary reflection or group interaction.”
