Saxton Temple Pope Jr. house

Once located in Orinda, this house was one of three designed by Wurster for Dr. Saxton Temple Pope Jr. The house was constructed out of corrugated metal sheeting, concrete block (C-Block System), and ceramic floor tile. Sadly the house was destroyed in 1964 to make way for the freeway linking Berkeley and Oakland with the suburban communities over the East Bay Hills.
